WHEAT
Wheat is the common name of members of the Triticum genus in the grass and cereal grain family. Wheat is one of the most important cereals in the world. In Canada, wheat is the first cultivated species (produced on an average of 10 million hectares). Wheat has several uses including processing into flour for baked goods and pasta and feed for livestock. Céréla's spring wheats have a significant market share in Quebec and eastern Ontario, both for their milling features and for animal feed. Our wheats are also being tested in Western Canada and the United States to evaluate their adaptations for these markets.
