Oats (Avena sativa) are plants grown for their grains and straw. Cool, humid climates are ideal for oats. Oats are mainly used as feed for livestock and as a breakfast product. Cerela oats are widely used by growers in eastern Canada. Our oats are also being tested in Western Canada and the US to assess their adaptation to these markets.
